Frequently Ask Questions

Q: How would I pay for my leadership development session?

Clients pay me via credit card (VISA/MasterCard) on a pre-paid basis on the first of the month.

Q: What is the focus of our strategy calls?

The agenda is client generated. I require a session preparation form from clients before our call to make the most of our calls.

Q: Are meetings in person or phone calls?

We'll communicate by calls, though if you are in the area we might set up an occasional face to face meeting. Depending on the package you choose we will have two, three or four calls per month. If you choose the email package, we will communicate solely via email. If you or I are on vacation, we spend more time before you/I leave and after you/I return.

Q: What if I need to cancel as session?

Please give me 24 hours notice if you have to cancel or reschedule a call. If you have an emergency, we will work around it. Otherwise, a missed call is not made up.

Q: How long is a regular strategy call?

Q: Is strategy coaching like therapy?

While aspects of coaching and strategy can appear to be similar to certain types of therapy, I ask clients to agree to the following before we begin:

  • I understand and agree that I am fully responsible for my well being during our calls, including my choices and decisions. I am aware that I can choose to discontinue coaching at any time. I recognize that personal strategy and coaching are not psychotherapy and that professional referrals will be given if needed.
  • I understand that our work does not treat mental disorders as defined by the American Psychiatric Association. I understand that our work is not a substitute for counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis, mental health care or substance abuse treatment and I will not use it in place of any form of therapy.
  • I promise that if I am currently in therapy or otherwise under the care of a mental health professional, that I have consulted with this person regarding the advisability of working with a personal strategist and that this person is aware of my decision to proceed with the relationship.
